🧪 Are we making pool water testing more complicated—or are we simply understanding the chemistry better?

pH, alkalinity, hardness, TDS, salt, and saturation index have always been part of the water chemistry equation. What has changed is our ability to measure, analyze, and understand how these water quality parameters interact.

Pool water is a chemical ecosystem. One factor can influence another, and having access to more accurate water analysis data helps pool professionals identify the source of a problem instead of only treating symptoms. The chemistry is not new. The science and technology available to understand it continue to advance.
