CNC Press Brake & CNC Plasma Table Operator
Pay: $25.00–$26.25 per hour
Location: Boilerroom Equipment Inc. (BEI), Cheswick, PA 15024
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:00 PM | 4-day workweek
Employment: Full-time
4-DAY WORKWEEK — EVERY FRIDAY OFF
Work Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.
EXPERIENCED OPERATORS ONLY — BOTH MACHINES REQUIRED
We are seeking an experienced CNC fabricator who has personally set up and operated BOTH a hydraulic CNC press brake and a CNC plasma cutting table.
Our press brake is a:
U.S. Industrial 200-Ton × 13' Hydraulic Press Brake
Model US20013AC with CNC backgauge
You do not need experience on this exact make and model, but you must have hands-on experience independently setting up and operating a comparable hydraulic CNC press brake.
You must also have hands-on operating experience with a CNC plasma cutting table.
Experience operating BOTH types of machines is required.
Experience as a helper, assistant, material handler, loader/unloader, or simply working alongside an operator does not qualify as machine-operating experience for this position.
We need someone who can independently set up and operate the equipment, read fabrication drawings, make necessary adjustments, and produce accurate parts without basic operator training.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work with carbon steel and stainless steel from 16 gauge through 3/16", producing sheet-metal and light-plate components.
Responsibilities include:
• Set up and operate our U.S. Industrial 200-Ton × 13' Hydraulic Press Brake, Model US20013AC
• Set up and operate our CNC plasma cutting table
• Set up and adjust the CNC backgauge
• Select appropriate press brake tooling
• Determine bend sequences
• Apply bend allowances and compensate for springback
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols
• Make machine/program adjustments to meet print requirements
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections
• Produce accurate, consistent parts while maintaining safe work practices
Required Experience
To be considered, you must have:
• Hands-on experience setting up AND operating a hydraulic CNC press brake
• Hands-on experience operating a CNC plasma cutting table
• Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel
• Experience fabricating material from approximately 16 ga through 3/16"
• Strong blueprint/fabrication drawing reading skills
• Ability to set up equipment and work independently
This is not an entry-level, helper, assistant, or operator-trainee position. We are specifically looking for someone who has already operated BOTH types of equipment.
Preferred Experience
• Experience operating a U.S. Industrial press brake or comparable hydraulic CNC press brake
• CNC program editing or offline programming experience
• Job-shop or low-to-medium-volume fabrication experience
• Experience making setup and program adjustments based on finished-part measurements
