These are the sunflowers that were planted in late June, in the middle of giant concrete foundation that's from a bygone era. Chicago could grow hundreds of thousands of sunflowers. Our hope is one day Chicago will, and it would lift the spirit of this great city.

It's time to put innovation ahead of division, bureaucracy, partisanship and antiquated economic models. As it has been said about clean energy, 2015 is year one and it's time we transcend limits and move into a new age, a new paradigm. It is time now.

This is Chicago Biofuels' work horse. This truck has been the backbone of our operation, and for over two months now it has been running on 100% biodiesel! The significance of this is that that the raw material for this biodiesel has been sourced from the city of Chicago, the fuel has been produced in the city and it is being used here. This is the definition of a Closed-loop System. It has been a long process to get here and it's just the beginning. Biodiesel is a very good fuel and it is an important component of the clean energy innovations that are sweeping across the world. There is much work to be done, but the most important thing to understand is that it has begun. And there is no turning back.
