We had a great crowd of 400+ folks at The Vault in Galesburg for the Veteran & Senior Fair on April 29! The Trajectory team was with our partners at Nexamp to connect with community members and spread the word about subscriptions to the Southside Community Solar Project—continuing our partnership to expand access to community solar and savings on monthly utility bills in the area.

We’re spotlighting two 📣: Emily Hammermeister, Operations Manager, and Hal Sprague, Community Engagement Manager.

Emily has been with Trajectory since 2020, and since the early days has served in a variety of roles as TEP has grown. Now as our Operations Manager, Emily handles a variety of legal compliance matters, including the critical task ensuring each project is accurately documented and preserved for transaction purposes. Day-to-day Emily is instrumental in shaping Trajectory's external success and internal culture.

As our Community Engagement Manager, Hal combines his years of legal and advocacy experience to engage with the communities that our projects call home. Beginning before project permitting and lasting well into operation, Hal builds relationships with neighbors, community leaders, and elected officials, all of which helps to make Trajectory a better neighbor. Whether talking wetlands, subscriptions, or padel Hal is always happy to share his expertise and to learn more.

Thank you to everyone who joined Trajectory Energy Partners and Nexamp for our recent Community Solar Subscription Open Houses in Pontiac and Galesburg, IL!

Community Solar projects are already bringing real benefits to communities across Illinois—lower utility bill costs, more clean energy on the grid, and long-term property tax revenue that supports schools and local services. These solar projects also create jobs by utilizing union labor, and help the environment by creating new pollinator-friendly habitats.

Alongside Nexamp who will own and operate these projects, the Trajectory team enjoyed the opportunity to connect and share how community solar projects, like Southside Community Solar in Galesburg, and Bluestem Solar and Broadlight Solar in Pontiac, can make a difference in their local communities.

Congratulations to Dave and Mike Follmer on receiving the Bill Edwards Agri-Business of the Year award at the Pontiac Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner!

The Follmer farm has been a fixture of the Pontiac community since 1915, raising commodity crops, hogs, and some truly fantastic sweet corn. 🌽

The Follmer’s dedication to local organizations including FFA and 4-H reflects their ongoing commitment to Pontiac. Trajectory was proud to be part of this moment recognizing a family that continues to give so much back to the community.

The Illinois Power Agency recently published a case study highlighting the impact of Rock Cut Solar, a 35-acre, 4MW Community-Driven Community Solar project electrified in August 2025.

Originally developed by Trajectory, built by Illinois union workers, and now operated by our partners at Summit Ridge Energy, Rock Cut Solar exemplifies a community-focused approach to development—built through partnerships with local leaders and organizations to deliver clean energy and meaningful financial benefits to the greater Rockford area.

The project provides monthly discounts on utility bills to residents, businesses, and nonprofits in Winnebago County, with even greater savings for low-income residents. Over time, Rock Cut Solar is projected to save the community $4 million in electricity costs.

Congratulations to the original Rock Cut Solar project team and community partners—including Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity, Keri Acevedo, Get Connected 815, Tretara Flowers, Carpenters Local 792, Brad Long, Sustain Rockford, Brad Roos, Northwest Neighbors, Mike Gallagher, Pastor Jeremiah Griffin, and Jeff Bailey—whose collaboration made the project possible. ☀️

We’re spotlighting two 🎉: Dustin Elliott, Senior Director of Legal, and Leah Jorn, Senior External Affairs Analyst.

Dustin has been a part of our Legal team since 2020. As our Senior Director of Legal, Dustin is hands-on with our projects from origination through sales, working with a wide variety of external stakeholders to balance immediate project priorities with long-term consequences. Using all of his experience, Dustin helps shape a pipeline that represents the best of Trajectory.

As our Senior External Affairs Analyst, Leah focuses on the intersection of project permitting and community engagement for our Illinois projects. In that capacity she works with every member of the Trajectory team to put our best foot forward in jurisdictions across the state, from our application to our outreach. Always juggling multiple projects at once, Leah keeps the trains running on time and our focus on "all solar is local".

Morton Solar—one of 22 Trajectory Energy projects built last year with union labor —is a 2MWac Community Solar project situated just off I-74 in Tazewell County. Energized late last year by Summit Ridge Energy, the project's owner / operator, Morton Solar is already helping strengthen the Ameren grid and is enabling Morton-area residents and businesses that can’t install solar on their own property to access solar energy and save on their utility bills.

This week, Trajectory Energy Partners donated $10,000 to the City of Galesburg to support improvements to public parks on the city’s south side. This contribution honors a commitment made during the development of Southside Community Solar—a Community-Driven Community Solar project intentionally designed to deliver direct, tangible benefits to Galesburg residents. Clean energy and clean parks go hand in hand, and we’re proud this investment will help strengthen shared public spaces and local renewable energy.

This milestone reflects years of close collaboration with the Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development and the City of Galesburg, IL. As Southside Community Solar moves closer to being energized—with our partners at Nexamp as the site's long-term owner and operator—we’re excited to see the project deliver lasting value in the community.

We’re spotlighting Lacon Solar ☀️ — a 2MW community solar array in Lacon, Illinois. The project was a true collaboration with local residents and Lacon Township officials, and will provide needed additional property tax revenue to Marshall County, alongside providing nearby residents with utility bill savings through community solar subscriptions.

After receiving strong community support during the permitting process, Lacon Solar was built with union labor and energized in 2025 by Summit Ridge Energy, the project's long-term owner.

The Trajectory Energy team had a chance to kick off the new year together in Chicago last week. After navigating some tricky winter travel, we had a chance to collaborate on the opportunities ahead to add more clean energy to the grid in Illinois and Maryland, two states where it's needed now more than ever. We're excited to make 2026 another solar-filled year!
