ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Will County Public Building commission is accepting sealed bids from interested and pre-qualified trade contractors for bid packages for the “Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County Kitchen & Therapy Renovations”. The work consists of the following bid packages: 02A Demolition Work, 02B Asbestos Abatement Work, 2C Excavation & Site Drainage, 2D Asphalt Paving/ Concrete Curbs & Walks, 2E Landscape & Fencing, 06A General Trades Work, 06B Millwork, 09A Floorcovering Work, 09B Painting Work, 09C Ceramic Tile Work, 11A Food Service Equipment, 11B Temporary Food Service, 15A Fire Protection Work, 15B Plumbing Work, 15C HVAC Work, and 16A Electrical Work. The work of each of the bid packages shall include all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, transportation, equipment, and services necessary for the complete performance of all requirements for such work in accordance with the entirety of the project documents and their intent. Bids will be received from pre-qualified firms only. All bidders must be qualified with the Construction Manager, Poulos Inc. Completed applications can be returned by fax (773/ 626-8646) or US Mail to: Poulos Inc. 735 S Laramie Ave., Chicago, IL. 60644 and MUST be received by Oct.19, 2012. Those submitting bids who are not pre-qualified will have their proposal returned unopened. There will be a MANDATORY Pre-bid meeting for bid packages 02 thru 09 on Oct.16, 2012 9:00 am and bid packages 11thru 16 on Oct.17, 2012 9:00 am. Bids will be received by the Will County Public Building Commission, 57 N. Ottawa St. Suite 512, Joliet, IL. 60432 until 01:00 pm CST Nov. 01, 2012 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Will County Public Building Commission has entered into a Project Labor – Management Agreement with the Three Rivers Construction Alliance. In accordance with that agreement, the contractor to which the contract is awarded, and all subcontractors, shall be required to enter into Project- Labor Agreements with the appropriate labor organizations. Bid Documents may be viewed or obtained at the offices of Poulos Inc. 735 S. Laramie Ave., Chicago, IL.,60644. In accordance with the “Instructions to Bidders” Drawings may be acquired through a refundable deposit of $300.00 per set (2 set limit) with said deposit returned to a bonafide bidder upon the return of drawings in good condition within 15 days of bid opening. The Will County Public Building Commission reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding.
