Preparation is the key to a successful turnaround.

In July 2025, HydroTex Golden Triangle was invited by one of the world's largest chemical companies to submit repair proposals for 15 pumps supporting an expedited 2026 turnaround.

Within days, our team delivered individual proposals that met all customer requirements. After being awarded the project in December, we immediately began planning, sourcing materials, and coordinating resources to ensure a smooth ex*****on.

That preparation paid off. Once the pumps arrived, each unit was inspected, repaired, and completed within the required 7–10-day turnaround, while successfully meeting all customer witness hold points throughout the repair process.

At HydroTex Golden Triangle, we know that exceptional turnaround performance begins long before the equipment reaches our shop. Through proactive planning, technical expertise, and close collaboration with our customers, we're committed to delivering reliable results when every day counts.

When a chemical plant experienced ongoing reliability concerns with a boiler feed water split-case pump, they turned to HydroTex Golden Triangle for more than a repair—they needed a long-term solution.

Following disassembly and inspection, our team identified severe cavitation damage that pointed to deeper system issues. Rather than simply repairing the pump, HydroTex Golden Triangle engaged Hydro Reliability Services to perform a comprehensive assessment of the boiler feed water (BFW) pump system.

The evaluation examined operating conditions, installation practices, and hydraulic and mechanical factors impacting pump performance. The goal: identify the root causes of recurring reliability issues and develop recommendations to improve equipment life, reduce downtime, and enhance overall system performance.

The assessment revealed that several major cast components required replacement. To keep the project moving efficiently, we partnered with Hydro Parts Solutions, leveraging their expertise to source the critical components needed for a reliable, long-term repair.
This project demonstrates the strength of Hydro's integrated approach—combining engineering expertise, reliability analysis, parts support, and repair capabilities to help customers solve complex rotating equipment challenges.

Faster Turnarounds. Engineered Solutions. Local Expertise.
One of the unique advantages of our HydroTex Golden Triangle Service Center is having Hydro Parts Solutions (HPS) right next door.

That close collaboration means customers have direct access to engineered replacement components supported by Hydro's engineering expertise and a team dedicated to minimizing downtime.

Rather than simply replicating OEM parts, Hydro Parts Solutions evaluates each application for opportunities to improve reliability, optimize performance, and extend equipment life. Through reverse engineering, upgraded materials, and engineered design enhancements, HPS helps customers address recurring challenges while delivering high-quality replacement components.

When lead times are critical, the partnership between HydroTex Golden Triangle and Hydro Parts Solutions allows us to respond quickly with the engineering support and parts our customers need to get their equipment back into service.

Whether you're looking for OEM-equivalent components, hard-to-source or obsolete parts, or engineered upgrades designed to improve long-term reliability, our teams work together to provide complete solutions that keep your rotating equipment performing at its best.

Learn how Hydro's integrated approach can support your next repair or reliability challenge.
