Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Founded in 1954, The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) is a technical institute for the precast concrete structures and systems industry.

For the SR 520 Montlake project, precast concrete was incorporated from the start. This project’s goal was to reconnect communities, improve regional mobility, enhance pedestrian access, and create a safer, seismically resilient bridge approach. The use of precast concrete components, produced by Concrete Technology Corporation, reduced overall concrete consumption, helping to lower the project's carbon footprint. To help meet the states Energy Master Plan, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) invested in the construction of the New Jersey Wind Port (NJWP)—a purpose-built offshore wind marshaling port located in Lower Alloways Creek along the Delaware River. Through the installation of precast concrete components produced by Precast Systems Inc., the port can withstand 6200 lb/ft2 of live load, with the inland area capable of supporting up to 4800 lb/ft2 of short-term foundation loads for storage and staging.
