What a great evening celebrating sustainability at Riverside Brookfield High School! ☀️
This week, we joined the RBHS community for a Solarbration and ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the school's new rooftop solar installation. Featuring 840 solar panels, the system is projected to generate more than 16.4 million kWh of clean energy over 30 years, with an estimated $48,706 in first-year energy savings.
One of our favorite highlights was having students from the AP Environmental Science class in attendance! It's exciting to see the next generation engaged in renewable energy and sustainability, especially right at their own school.
A special thank you to Superintendent Dr. Kevin Skinkis, School Board President Deanna Zalas, Verde Engineer and RBHS alumna Grace Rasmussen, and Verde CEO Chris Gersch for their remarks, Fresh Coast Solar for the installation, and District 208 for trusting Verde Solutions with this project.
We're proud to help bring clean energy to RBHS and inspire future generations!
