Lots of family fun at this year’s Orion and SSG company picnic at Decoma Day Camp. We had fresh grilled food, ice cream, swimming, climbing wall, soccer, baseball, henna tatoos, mini golf, playground, bags, music and time with family and friends.

At our recent company picnic celebrating our 60th Anniversary, the dunk tank was the highlight of the afternoon. 💦 Our president, Kevin Hess, was the first to go down, along with many others including our past president and senior advisor, George Osterhout, and sales engineer, Mike Hughes. 🌞

Continuing the celebration of Orion’s 60th Anniversary, our company picnic with our sister company Surface Solutions Group was extra special this year.

It was a Hawaiian Luau 🌴 theme that featured colorful table decorations, a Tiki Bar (lemonade and punch), a Limbo game, and a roasted pig 🐖 . This was on top of the usual bags games, a DJ 🎵 and an array of delicious BBQ’d meats, elote, salads, rice, beans, tortillas and paletas. 😋

The highlight of the day was the dunk tank. 💦 The first up in the seat was our president, Kevin Hess, then many others, including our past president and senior advisor, George Osterhout. Our company founder Bruce Nesbitt even joined the fun trying to knock down George, but to no avail.

The Cy Young for the best arm (aka most dunks) goes to Jose Espinal. He was on fire! The lowest Limbo goes to Jessica Pawlowski. She and her husband, Teddy (dipping her by the Tiki Bar), know how to party!

At Orion and SSG, our strong family culture is important to us. Many employees pitched in to make this year’s event fun and enjoyable by all. A big kudos to all of them. To top it off, it was a beautiful sunny day. 🌞
