The 2019-year for REM Construction was busier than the last and keeps getting busier. The team transitioned from 2018 to 2019 on a job in Truckee, installing bullet glass for the Tahoe Donner Public Utility District and began the 2019 year at Yuba College, modernizing an abandoned building to hold Veterinary Technician classrooms for Community College Students, while concurrently working on a project at Lindhurst High School in Marysville, upgrading the Culinary Arts Laboratory. The beginning of the year started strong and only continued throughout the year.
After the close out of a few of the spring projects, the summer projects were kicking off. Many located in the Sacramento areas; Sheldon High School, Paso Verde Elementary, Del Paso Elementary, Fairbanks Elementary and in Fairfield, an Exterior Walk-Ins Project at three elementary schools; Dover Elementary, David Weir Elementary and Anna Kyle Elementary. With this many projects REM had to call in reinforcements. The summer remained busy with a monster modernization and remodel project at Wheatland Union High School for the classrooms and new stadium bleachers with a press box for the Wheatland High Football Field. This duo project took nearly the entire REM staff and our hardworking subcontractors to make the deadline.
Currently, REM is working on three fall/winter projects; Claybanks Elementary in Fairfield updating a warehouse freezer, American River College Wellness Center in Sacramento installing various upgrades and a project for the Sacramento Housing Authority at the Salvation Army, performing interior upgrades, but the Fall/Winter season has not slowed one bit. REM is fiercely bidding projects to keep the pace we have endured all year and the future is bright.
