Landon Brooks Charges to Runner-Up Finish at Thunderbowl
Landon Brooks put together an impressive night at Thunderbowl Raceway, charging from ninth to second in Friday night’s 30-lap High Limit Racing feature.
Brooks kicked off the second night of the High Limit West Coast Swing by qualifying fifth in his group before bringing home a second-place finish in his heat race. That effort placed him ninth on the starting grid for the main event.
When it came time for the feature, Brooks went to work. The Rio Oso, California driver steadily made his way forward, gaining seven positions and battling his way into the runner-up spot before the checkered flag flew. He crossed the line second behind race winner Corey Day, capping off a strong night against a stout High Limit field.
Brooks’ runner-up result also made him the highest-finishing NARC driver of the night, another strong showing for the NARC contingent during the West Coast Swing.
From 9th ➡️ 2nd, Landon Brooks showed plenty of speed at the Thunderbowl and represented the West Coast well on the national stage!
