Well, for us, this job is in the books. Big change from start to finish. The plan is to go back in the spring for a mud room addition and then we can drywall that black hole and make it super nice. We started this job on the 16th of December and finished today. Redid framing, new electric, drywall, paint, flooring and trim. We'll be going back to redo the stairs eventually, homeowner wants to move everything downstairs first.

While we are waiting on HVAC to finish at my house, we took on a basement finish. Here you can see the metal studs and partially new electric. This is a permitted city job, which means we are licensed, bonded and insured to do residential construction in the city.

Before it got extremely cold, we poured some concrete using our mud mixer. This thing is awesome. I poured these two squares of side walk by myself in an hour. That's 25 bags of concrete. I'll post a finished picture later.

Not pictured is our 10 post footers poured with the mud mixer. 95 bags of concrete in 4.5 hours.

After we gutted the house, we gutted half the roof. Insurance made us take 15 trusses out because the bottom chord at the main web connection was burnt out.

These were taken out by using our own equipment. A skid steer with a 26 ft boom easily handled these 40 foot trusses.

The photos shown below already have new windows and doors. You can also see some surface mold left over from the 3in. of water that sat on the floor after the fire.

Our page has been a little quiet and we are about to make up for that. On April 27th of this year I got the phone call that my house was on fire. As you can see in the pictures, that was the aftermath. As we have been rebuilding, we have been bad at taking photos of the progress, but we'll get better and we'll post progress photos here on out.

My house will be dried in between Christmas and New years. Which means, I'll be looking to add some more work. I know tax season is soon, but I have employees that need to keep rolling. The house I thought I was starting hasn't happened. So, if you have anything let me know. Dog houses to full houses, decks, drywall, paint, siding, excavating, you name it we can pretty much do it. Not what we normally do, but when Daniels grandma asked, we happily obliged. This was a lot more work than I anticipated. But we got it done with the tools we had and Grandma was very happy.
