Safety isn’t just a requirement on a jobsite. It’s a culture built every single day by the people in the field.

Last week, the team from DXI Construction had the opportunity to participate in the 2026 HENSEL PHELPS Safety Week celebration at the IAD Project 12 & 13 site in Virginia — and we couldn’t be prouder of the recognition our crew received.

The event brought together teams across the project to celebrate safe work practices, strong field leadership, and the importance of creating environments where every worker goes home safely.

Our crews were invited to join a catered BBQ celebration, participate in giveaways, and connect with the Hensel Phelps team throughout the event.

We’re especially excited to recognize the DXI team members who took home some incredible prizes:

• Zach Moxley — 70” Smart TV
• Walter Villata — New iPad
• Jose Ortiz — Professional socket set
• Alberto Cazun — Grand Prize Winner ($1,500)

But beyond the prizes, what makes us most proud is the feedback shared by the Hensel Phelps safety leadership. This crew was recognized for maintaining an exemplary safety record with zero violations and consistently positive reviews from the HP staff throughout the project.

That kind of recognition reflects the professionalism, accountability, and pride our field teams bring to every site, every day.

That’s why we’re proud to support the new playground initiative at Churchville Elementary School PTA as a Gold Sponsor.
