š Earth Day is April 22nd. The theme this year is "Our Power, Our Planet."
And we think that message lands differently when you work in commercial print.
Because the truth is: print has a reputation for waste. Forests. Landfills. Overstock pallets quietly hauled away. For too long, that reputation wasn't entirely wrong.
But it doesn't have to be that way. And at RPI, we've spent years making sure it isn't.
Here's what "Our Power, Our Planet" looks like on a production floor in Cincinnati, Ohio:
ā»ļø 1,418,460 lbs recycled in 2025 ā up 35% from the year before. That's the weight of roughly 470 cars kept out of landfills. By a print team. On purpose.
š² FSC-certified paper stock on every job that calls for it ā fiber sourced from responsibly managed forests, independently certified, and fully auditable for your ESG reporting.
ā” Digital printing uses significantly less energy than traditional offset for short and mid-run work ā no plates, no makeready waste, no minimum quantities forcing you to overproduce.
š¦ Print on demand means zero overstock ā your team orders what they need, we print it, we ship it. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting to be shredded.
The Earth Day organizers said it perfectly this year: economic prosperity and environmental protection are not competing goals. They are on the same path forward.
We've believed that for 55 years. The numbers are starting to show it.
Happy Earth Day. š±
