Q- How has your career grown since working at Turner?
A- The supportive culture and opportunities for growth here at Turner have allowed me to learn new skills, take on greater responsibilities, and even earn a role change along the way.
Q- What is the best advice you can give someone who is just starting at Turner?
A- My best advice for someone just starting here is to build meaningful connections and never be afraid to ask questions. Whether you’re looking for instructions on a specific task or trying to better understand a business operation, there is tremendous value in learning from the people around you. Coming into the construction industry with no prior experience, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to learn a completely new company, new job, and new field. What I quickly discovered, though, is that there is very little you can’t figure out when you lean on the wealth of knowledge, experience and support that exists within our teams. The people here genuinely want to help you succeed, so take every opportunity to learn from those around you.
Q- There are now 25 hours in a day! How do you spend your extra hour?
A- Baking cookies or spending an extra hour on the couch with my dog, Birdie.
