It's HOT! š„
With a Heat Advisory in effect and a "feels like" temperature in the high 90s, we want to encourage you to stay safe, check on your friends and family, and give us a call if you are suddenly without cooling.
With temperatures this high, we also want to remind you that your system is working overtime. In this heat, the temperature swing, from outside to inside, is approximately 20 degrees for a properly functioning AC system. So if it's over 100 degrees outside, your system is still working efficiently if it is cooling to 80 degrees.
We know you like to live in a cooler space, but setting your thermostat to a lower temperature is unfortunately not going to make your system cool faster. It will only be running constantly and drive up your energy costs.
In a heat wave like this, we recommend setting your thermostat a bit higher than normal, closing your blinds and trying to keep some of the heat out as best you can.
