Construction on Kenton County’s 225-acre marquee park will begin Sept. 14, transforming the former Fox Run Golf Course into a destination built for recreation, adventure and outdoor exploration. The park is anticipated to reopen in late summer 2028.

To safely make this transformation possible, the park will be 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 to the public throughout construction. While about 70% of the property will remain untouched, large-scale equipment and active work zones will be present across the site, making the full closure necessary to keep visitors and construction crews safe.

And there’s a lot to look forward to.

The park will be built around three natural ridges, each with its own focus:
🎣 The first ridge will focus on civic activities and feature an enlarged fishing pond, dog park, outdoor fitness area, destination playground and interactive water feature, shelters, restrooms, observation tower and opportunities to walk through the tree canopies.
🚲 The second ridge emphasizes the spirit of adventure, with a bike park that includes skills course, bike playground and pump track, climbing wall, nature play, shelters and restrooms and a planned Go Ape facility with elevated obstacles and treetop experiences.
🥾The final ridge focuses on exploration building on the park’s extensive trail network that will be developed to cater to hikers and mountain bikers, while accommodating a wide range of abilities.

Last week, we had the opportunity to welcome the BuildWitt Team as they filmed a Prus Construction video series covering concrete basics and techniques.

We're excited to be part of creating educational content that helps share knowledge, highlight the craftsmanship behind concrete work, and support the next generation of industry professionals. A big thank you to the entire BuildWitt team for spending the week with us. We can't wait to see the finished series and share it with our team.

As we celebrate Independence Day week and America's 250th anniversary, we're honored to share the story of an American flag flying over our I-71 Pedestrian Bridge project.

As written by our employee, Brad Harmon:

"From the skies of Operation Inherent Resolve to the skyline of Cincinnati, this American flag is still flying proud. Originally flown January 11, 2019, on a C-130 transporting 14 wounded American service members on a priority medical mission from Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, the Persian Gulf, and Qatar to outside the theater of operations.

An American flag that originally watched over our wounded service members now watches over the construction of a first-of-its-kind pedestrian bridge being built in Cincinnati by Prus Construction. (The bridge, with a 747-foot ADA-compliant accessible ramp, will stretch from the corner of Gilbert Avenue and Court Street across I-71 to Mt. Adams.)

This flag's journey is just another example of the Strength, Dedication, and Resolve of the American spirit."

As we commemorate 250 years of our nation's history, we're reminded that the freedoms we celebrate have been preserved through the courage, sacrifice, and service of generations of Americans. We're proud to see this flag continue its journey, now flying over a project that will serve our community for generations to come.
