The Cincinnati Manufacturing Landscape Is Changing. So Are We.
Over the past few years, several of Greater Cincinnati's premier machine shops have become part of larger organizations through acquisitions and strategic mergers. Those investments are strengthening aerospace and defense manufacturing throughout our region, but they're also changing the commercial machining landscape for many industrial companies.
As that landscape evolves, we believe there has never been a better time to invest in serving the manufacturers, utilities, steel producers, engineering firms, contractors, and industrial companies that keep our region running.
That's why we're excited to announce two major machining investments that will significantly expand Die Craft Machining & Engineering's capabilities.
Coming in Q4 2026
Union TC125 Horizontal Boring Mill
Our new Union TC125 gives customers another solution for machining large fabricated weldments, machine bases, housings, and precision components requiring multi-sided machining.
New HBM Capacity
✔️ 79" X-Axis
✔️ 63" Y-Axis
✔️ 22" Quill Travel
✔️ 13,000 lb Table Capacity
Coming in Q1 2027
Doosan PUMA VTR1216M Vertical Turning Lathe
For years, large-capacity vertical turning has been one of the few capabilities missing from our shop. The addition of this machine closes that gap while giving customers a dedicated solution for large round components and heavy rotating equipment.
New VTL Capacity
✔️ 63" Maximum Swing
✔️ 49.2" Maximum Turning Height
✔️ 17,630 lb Maximum Workpiece Weight
Together, These Investments Change What We Can Build.
The combination of a large Horizontal Boring Mill and a Vertical Turning Lathe dramatically expands our manufacturing capability
More importantly, these complementary machines allow us to complete larger and more complex projects entirely in-house—reducing outsourcing, shortening lead times, improving quality, and giving customers a single-source machining partner.
To Our Current and Future Customers...
Whether you're an OEM, steel producer, utility, contractor, maintenance organization, engineering firm, or industrial company, our message is simple:
We're open for business, and we're investing in the future.
For nearly 50 years, Die Craft has earned its reputation by solving difficult machining challenges, responding quickly when customers need us, and continually investing in the people and equipment that help our customers succeed.
These additions represent one of the largest expansions of heavy machining capability in our company's history, positioning us to better serve both our existing customers and new partners throughout Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana, and beyond.
Bigger capability. Greater capacity. The same commitment to quality, responsiveness, and craftsmanship that has defined Die Craft for nearly five decades.
We're excited to put both of these machines to work.
