The final product🏡

From the beginning, this home was designed around its setting—sitting high above the Little Miami River Valley with views that deserved to be part of the architecture.

What began as a gut remodel ultimately became a complete tear-down and rebuild, giving us the opportunity to bring Platte Architecture’s vision to life from the ground up.

The finished exterior is modern, clean, and intentionally understated, with expansive glass opening the home toward the valley and outdoor spaces designed to take full advantage of the property.

A long road from where we started, and one we’re incredibly proud to finally share.

Cincinnati’s historic homes 🏡

Some of our favorite projects to work on. We’ve had the privilege of caring for some of these homes for the last five, ten, and even more years and there’s something incredibly rewarding about playing a small part in preserving them for the next generation.

These homes are more than beautiful buildings. They’re architectural landmarks, built with a level of detail, character, and craftsmanship that deserves to be maintained to the same standard.

We’re fortunate to have clients who trust Mayfield & Company with that responsibility, and equally fortunate to work alongside craftsmen and trade partners who understand what these homes require.

Here’s a closer look into our renovation on a historic property in East Walnut Hills. We are wrapping up the final details and we’re excited to share the final result.

Bringing life back into a building with this much character has been an incredible experience. Honoring history while bringing it to the next generation is what it is all about.

Before & After

As 2026 gets off to a great start, we’re excited about what’s ahead and deeply grateful for the projects and people who helped get us here. The trust of our clients, the collaboration of our partners, and the work of so many talented craftspeople have shaped every before and after along the way.

Here are a few.

Before ➝ After

What started as a dated 1960s home is now a fully reimagined residence designed for modern family life and large-scale entertaining.

This project involved a complete gut remodel plus six separate additions, including a new two-car garage, all set on a beautiful lot overlooking a public golf course. A new dormer addition expanded the second floor while introducing more dynamic rooflines and natural light.

On the first floor, we opened up the kitchen, breakfast area, and living room, replacing a series of small, disconnected rooms with an open-concept layout and a new porch that seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor living.

Swipe to see the transformation—designed by the project architects and brought to life by our talented partners.
