Civil Solutions partnered closely with Bray Construction, Scherzinger Drilling, and Structures Inc. to deliver an innovative retaining wall solution tailored to the site’s unique constraints and visibility.

The retaining wall extends approximately 1,000 lineal feet parallel to Buttermilk Pike and reaches a maximum exposed height of 13 feet. The design incorporates a hybrid wall system, combining drilled piers with soldier piles, a Redi-Rock gravity wall section, and an Allan Block mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall.

Successful ex*****on of this wall system was made possible through ongoing collaboration among all three specialty contractors and Civil Solutions throughout design and construction. What was once an abandoned lot is now rapidly transforming into Fort Mitchell Gateway, supporting exciting redevelopment opportunities and contributing to the continued growth of the City of Fort Mitchell.

Civil Solutions participated in the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSD) Industry Day today. Project Manager Benjamin Kennard and Business Development Director Scott Mann connected with peer firms while MSD shared an overview of its 2026 Capital Improvement Projects. We appreciate the opportunity to engage with the regional engineering community and remain committed to supporting our communities, public health, and the environment.
