A schools project highlight shines the spotlight on Norwell Middle School in Ossian, Indiana.

First and foremost, school buildings need to be SAFE throughout the building. Safety and durability have always been a key focus of our design, product quality, manufacturing and testing approaches at Hollaender.

At Norwell Middle School, the architects at Schmidt Associates and project leaders utilized Hollaender's Interna-Rail® with Wire-Mesh Infill Panels for its architectural railing system throughout the building.

We're proud to highlight an impressive 2024 project that we supported with our architectural railing: the new state-of-the-art, 43,000 square foot Westfield Washington Public Library in Westfield, Indiana (that opened in June, 2024).

The new building was made possible by and in collaboration with krM Architecture+, Meyer Najem Construction and Westfield Washington Township , fostering learning and serving as a community hub in the expanding downtown of Westfield, Indiana.

The project utilized Hollaender's Interna-Rail® and VUE™ railing with glass infill panels as well as incorporated Hollaender's post and wall mounted handrail and structural glass railing.

As the big College Football National Championship game draws near (Notre Dame vs. Ohio State Jan. 20th), we captured a project highlight just north of of one of these schools -The Ohio State University- at the University City Center multi-use building, used for student housing.

The six-story mixed-use University City Center building integrates 266 residential units and a pool, a 4-tier parking garage, and over 120,000 square feet of leasable retail space. In an effort to differentiate University City Center from other student housing options, the architect firm Berardi+ and specialty railing contractor Spohn Associates used Hollaender’s Interna-Rail VUE™ railing system to provide a clear and safe viewing area around the pool deck.

Hollaender® is the leading manufacturer of high-strength, corrosion-resistant aluminum fittings for use with any pipe including stainless steel and black iron.

New & Recent Project Highlight at Trine University in Fort Wayne, Indiana with The Brooks College of Health Professions! We're excited to support the new building with Hollaender's architectural railing and partner with Design Collaborative to be part of what is by far the largest building project in Trine University’s history, a big new project featuring 110,000 square feet of space.

The new $42.5 million facility offers state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories and eventually will employ 100 faculty and staff and serve nearly 700 students. It's home to Trine’s programs in physical therapy, physician assistant studies, occupational therapy and surgical technology. For our "Build Local" project highlight, we've selected Third Eye Brewing Company in Hamilton, Ohio that used Hollaender's architectural railing throughout the brewery (inside and outside). Interna-Rail® with Wire Mesh Infill Panels were utilized to help keep people safe.
