Promotion – Anjana Bhowmik

Retirement – Chris Bell

We also celebrate the retirement of Chris Bell, who concludes an exceptional 27-year career with Oltmans Construction Co. Since joining in 1997 and most recently serving as Vice President of Production. Chris has helped guide major initiatives, supported the growth of our project teams, and championed the company’s commitment to integrity and quality. His leadership and mentorship leave a lasting impact on the organization. We extend our deepest gratitude to Chris and wish him the very best in his retirement.

Promotion – Ed Sorbel

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Ed Sorbel to Senior Director of Field Operations. Throughout his 38-year career, Ed has led Oltmans’ field teams with unwavering dedication, steady leadership, and a standard of excellence that reflects the core values of our company. His experience, mentorship, and commitment to our craft have been instrumental in shaping field operations across generations. We congratulate Ed on this next step in his distinguished career.

With school back in session, Oltmans Construction Co. is proud to share the St. Mary’s School’s Sillers Center in Aliso Viejo is welcoming students for the new school year! It has been an enormous team effort bringing this vision to life. The RGA team truly created an innovative space where classroom meets laboratory, and the learning environment is designed to promote hands-on learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Oltmans Construction understood the assignment and treated the process as a unique opportunity for students to engage with the construction project through site tours and hands-on learning experiences aimed at fostering engagement and supporting excitement around the new facility.

The new Siller’s Center features:
✏️A 2-story 27,900 s.f. concrete tilt-up building on a 306,226 s.f. site
✏️Community spaces, including a 367 s.f. café, outdoor mud kitchen, race track and new playground for children ages 2–5 with an intricate soft surface color mix that promotes creativity and play.
✏️A Design Center that hosts classes and labs dedicated to technology, science, research, art, and more.
✏️A 2nd floor gallery equipped with a double-door NanaWall system, inclusive of panic hardware for maximum functionality and safety.
✏️Solar and EV chargers for sustainability.

🏢 Amazon DLX8, Santa Ana, CA | Significant structural rehabilitation of a metal and masonry building into Amazon’s DLX8 Last-Mile Delivery Station.

🔌 Amazon DLX7 EV Readiness, Cypress, CA | Installation of 148 new stalls with the capacity to charge approximately 350 vehicles.

After 50 remarkable years of tenure, our CEO and Chairman, John Gormly, will be stepping into the role of CEO Emeritus and continuing to serve as a key member of our Board. John’s leadership shaped the most successful era in our history—guiding us to nearly $1B in construction volume, achieving national recognition as a Great Place to Work™, and expanding our portfolio into healthcare, private education, and e-commerce. His mentorship and dedication have left a lasting mark on Oltmans and the industry at large.

We’re also proud to announce that Charles Roy will assume the role of Chairman of the Board and continuing his leadership as President. A third-generation Oltmans team member, Charles carries forward the company’s values with integrity and purpose.
