1976: Acorn Engineering Company® Introduces Care-Ware®
Acorn’s revolutionary Care-Ware product line incorporates a toilet, wash basin, counter top, and cabinets into one unit—perfect for critical areas of healthcare facilities where it is difficult to include a complete bathroom. Care-Ware was later added to the Whitehall product line when Acorn acquired Whitehall.
1986: Acorn Acquires Whitehall
Whitehall Manufacturing, then known as Whitehall Electro-Medical, was acquired by Acorn Engineering Company. President Sal Zaita continued leading Whitehall for five more years. Since becoming part of Acorn Engineering, Whitehall’s operations have been relocated to City of Industry, Calif., where they remain today under Acorn’s parent company Morris Group International®. Since then, Whitehall has attained and established a myriad of healthcare and rehabilitation product lines. The company’s growth and innovation continue to soar.
1987: Whitehall Introduces Scrub-Ware®
This line of stainless steel surgical scrub sinks is ideal for pre-op scrub-in. Since its introduction, the Scrub-Ware line has flourished and now includes standard, compact, and ADA-compliant models.
1992: Thermalators® Moist Heat Therapy Units Introduced
In 1992, Whitehall introduced the Thermalator line of moist heat therapy products. Thermalator units maintain precisely controlled, constantly warm water temperature to heat thermal packs, which aid in treating musculoskeletal pain to help users recover faster.
2008: Whitehall Purchases ThermoElectric
This acquisition furthered expanded the Whitehall product arsenal, adding Dakon whirlpools, as well as Thermo-Therapy dry heat therapy products, paraffin baths, and Dickson splint pans.
2010: Whitehall Purchases Ferno Ille
By this point, Whitehall Manufacturing had been making hydrotherapy whirlpools for 64 years. Since then, through the acquisition of companies like Ferno Ille, we have expanded our line of rehabilitation products to include the broadest line of hydrotherapy whirlpools in the industry.
2013: Whitehall Releases BestCare® Ligature-Resistant Products
Our most innovative healthcare line to date, BestCare products are designed for behavioral healthcare environments and increase patient safety tenfold. BestCare plumbing fixtures and restroom accessories promote and enhance patient well-being without looking institutional. 2016: Whitehall and AcornVac® Join Forces
Whitehall celebrated 70 strong years of business in the healthcare marketplace in 2016, beginning a successful collaboration with AcornVac, an industry leader in vacuum plumbing systems. Together, Whitehall and AcornVac offer the ultimate healthcare solution: sleek and durable plumbing products integrated with sanitary, non-invasive, environmentally-friendly vacuum plumbing.
2016: Whitehall and cleatPRO® Form Partnership
Also in 2016, Whitehall partnered with cleatPRO to better service the ever-expanding sports market. These glove and cleat steamers are used by youth, college, and professional athletic teams around the world.
2020: Whitehall Manufacturing Splits into Two Separate Divisions
Due to tremendous growth in both the healthcare and rehabilitation markets, Whitehall Manufacturing split into two separate divisions to better serve our customers. Whitehall Manufacturing maintains a focus on the healthcare industry, and Whitehall Rehabilitation, in turn, focuses on the rehab market.
2020: Whitehall Rehab Expands Product Line with Stainless Steel Stairs
With a growing focus on infection prevention in physical and rehabilitation therapy clinics everywhere, Whitehall Rehab introduced stainless steel therapy stairs designed for patient safety, durability, and infection prevention.
2021: Whitehall Healthcare Allies with W.D. Manor
This partnership allowed W.D. Manor to leverage Whitehall’s precision manufacturing power for its already highly regarded dialysis box—the healthcare industry’s best choice for patient safety and infection prevention.
