Last Thursday, PNGC Power’s 2026 Annual Meeting brought together cooperative leaders, energy experts and regional partners in Boise for a day of meaningful conversations about the future of electricity in the Northwest.

We were honored to welcome Jim Matheson, CEO of NRECA, as our keynote speaker for Navigating Change, along with an outstanding group of leaders from across the cooperative and energy industries. Throughout the day, speakers and panelists shared their perspectives on some of the most important issues shaping our industry, including Northwest transmission, emerging nuclear technologies, lessons learned from cooperative leaders, America’s reliability challenge, and the evolving political landscape.

These conversations reinforced the value of collaboration, shared expertise and strong partnerships as we work together to navigate a rapidly changing energy landscape and build a reliable future for the communities we serve.

The energy landscape is changing quickly, and PNGC Power is looking well beyond the challenges of today.

At the Montana Electric Cooperatives' Association's (MECA) Annual Meeting on September 30, PNGC Power’s Chief Strategy Officer, Chris Allen, shared how we’re taking a strategic approach to resource development, while also providing perspective on Western resource adequacy, evolving energy markets, and other regional issues shaping our industry.

At PNGC Power, we are thinking 10 to 15 years ahead, transforming how we plan, invest and prepare for the future. It’s about making smart decisions today that position our members for long-term success and help create a brighter, more resilient future for the communities they serve.

PNGC Power’s Erin Erben took the stage at the G&T Resource Planning Conference in Greenville, South Carolina this week, sharing her expertise during the general session, “G&T Resources Planning in a Time of Rapid Change.”

Erin highlighted PNGC Power’s evolving resource strategy and how we’re navigating a rapidly changing energy landscape by giving our members greater choice and flexibility while securing the resources needed to reliably serve their communities well into the future.
