Field Engineer / Construction Surveyor
Chilton Contractors is accepting applications for a Field Engineer / Construction Surveyor.
Responsibilities
• Conduct field layout for civil construction projects such as roadway improvement projects and residential / commercial site work projects.
• Interpret the plans to be able to stake out required work.

Qualifications and Experience
• Required 3 years of field experience in construction layout required.
• Precision in stakeout work is particularly important.
• Must have a clear understanding of reading civil site plans.
• Experience with data collectors, electronic or robotic total stations, levels, GPS equipment, Carlson software, and computers
• Strong verbal communication skills.

Salary
• Based on experience

Chilton Contractors, Inc is accepting applications for Heavy Equipment Operators.

Job Description:
Operate various types of crawler type and wheeled equipment with levers and/or foot controls to move, raise, lower, load, dump, scrap, push, grade and compact earth materials such as dirt, top soil, stone, base and asphalt in the road building and utility insulation of the construction industry. Such equipment includes Track Hoe, Back hoe, Dozers, Front end loaders, Motor graders, Rollers, skid steers etc.

Job duties:
• Ability to operate machine in a safe and productive manner
• May fuel, oil or grease machine
• Ability to Load, push, scrap, compact and grade materials for the machine operating

Job Requirements:
• 2+ year operator experience-----preferably in the site/dirt work – utility work field
• Valid Driver License w/clean MVR
• Work in all kinds of weather
• Finish grade operators is a plus
• Must be able to climb in, out, up, down the equipment
* CDL certification is a plus

Ability to safely secure, haul and unload heavy construction equipment, loading and unloading locations could be storage yards, quarry, dirt pit and/or job site.

Job Requirements:
• must have Class A CDL’s Valid Driver License w/clean MVR
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• Work in all kinds of weather
• Must be able to climb in, out, up, down the equipment
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements a plus
• Ability to manage and complete paperwork such as time sheets, pick-up and delivery documentation, pre-trip inspections.

• Ability to use hand tools (shovels, Rakes etc.)

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
