If you’re in Florida and going solar, working with someone who understands the laws and regulations regarding solar, net metering with your current utility company, and when you do and don’t need additional coverage with your homeowners policy or a separate policy is imperative.

This article is quite misleading as most of your common high rated insurers cover solar panels and roughly half of the finance or PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) options come with coverage or have options to add it.

Don’t let shady insurance brokers selling sub-standard coverage and policies by low rated companies scare you away from saving thousands by going solar!
