Our lineworkers are the backbone of our cooperative—working long hours in all kinds of weather, often in challenging and dangerous conditions, to keep the power on for our members. Whether it’s restoring outages in the middle of the night or maintaining miles of line to keep our communities running smoothly, their commitment does not go unnoticed.

Redwood Electric Cooperative has been made aware of a recent phone scam in our area. Scammers are posing as Redwood Electric and threatening immediate disconnection of service unless payment is made. They may also request payment by scanning a barcode they provide at a local Walmart.

Please be aware:
❌ Redwood Electric will never demand immediate payment over the phone to avoid disconnection.
❌ We do not call or send automated messages on holidays.
❌ We will never request personal or banking information via phone, email, or text.

✅ Safe Payment Methods:
Redwood Electric only accepts credit or debit card payments through our secure Pay-By-Phone system or SmartHub. In our office, we accept cash, checks, money orders, and cashier’s checks.
