⚡ What Have Our Linemen Been Up to This Summer? 🚛🏠
Well, they do a lot more than just work on and maintain power lines!

This summer, our Redwood Electric Cooperative linemen have been busy helping make way for several house moves, shed moves, and even a few unique oversized loads!

One of the more interesting moves involved a massive concrete grinder that traveled all the way from Germany to Duluth, Minnesota, and then made its way out west!

Whether it's a house, a shed, or something you don't see traveling down the road every day, our linemen work behind the scenes to make sure these large loads can travel safely through our service area.

👏 Just another example of the many different jobs our linemen do to keep things moving safely!

⚡ Redwood Electric Cooperative – Annual Line & Equipment Inspections ⚡

Redwood Electric Cooperative is starting early on our annual line and equipment inspections!

Starting today and continuing over the next couple of months, we'll work with Southwood to visually inspect our power lines, poles, and other electrical equipment throughout our service area.

These routine inspections help us maintain safe and reliable electric service for our members.

🚗 What to Expect:
Southwood employees will be driving clearly marked Southwood vehicles and may enter driveways and yards to conduct visual inspections of our equipment.

Please note that Southwood employees work beyond Redwood Electric Cooperative's regular office hours, so you may see them in your area after our office closes.

❄️ Minnesota Cold Weather Rule & Energy Assistance

Minnesota’s Cold Weather Rule is in effect from October 1 through April 30 and helps protect eligible members from electric disconnection during the winter months.

Protection is not automatic. Members must contact Redwood Electric Cooperative, make a payment arrangement, and keep all agreed-upon payments current.

Energy Assistance is also available through United Community Action Partnership (UCAP) for eligible households.

⚡ REC Crews at Work! ⚡

Our Redwood Electric Cooperative line crew is hard at work preparing for maintenance and upgrading transformers to better serve one of our large members later this week. These projects require a lot of preparation and teamwork to ensure our system continues operating safely and reliably.

Thank you to our line crew for their hard work and dedication to keeping our electric system safe, reliable, and strong—today and for years to come!

🎉 Happy 125th Anniversary, City of Wanda! 🎉

Thank you for letting Redwood Electric Cooperative be part of Wanda’s 125 Years Celebration and parade!

It was so great to see so many familiar faces and so many of our members out enjoying the celebration. Michael and his family had a wonderful time representing Redwood Electric in the parade — smiles all around!

Congratulations to the City of Wanda on 125 years! We’re proud to serve this great community and grateful to have been part of such a special milestone.
