Bevel gears are prone to distortion during carburizing and quenching.

Instead of correcting distortion through aggressive machining, simulation can be used to evaluate geometry and process changes upfront, reducing distortion while preserving beneficial residual stresses.

Distortion works best when addressed during design, not after production.
