Another major milestone reached.
Our commercial solar installation team continues to make strong progress on the 6.5 MW solar project at the Brooklyn Landfill site.
Here’s the latest from the field:
☀️ 39 rows of Ohio-made First Solar panels have now been installed.
☀️ Every Terrasmart Glide Ballast block has been placed, marking a significant step toward project completion.
☀️ You may notice the array is being installed in a large "C" pattern. That's intentional. Similar to not painting yourself into a corner, our team is strategically working their way outward while maintaining access to staging areas, equipment, and materials throughout construction.
Projects of this scale don't happen overnight.
Transforming an underutilized landfill into a renewable energy asset requires careful planning, innovative engineering, strong partnerships, and a dedicated team willing to put in the work day after day.
It's a process built on collaboration, problem-solving, and grit.
And when complete, this site will help deliver renewable, locally generated energy for years to come.
As always, a big thank you to CEP Renewables, the City of Brooklyn, Ohio, and Cuyahoga County for their continued partnership on this landmark project.
