Last week, we had the opportunity to join the City of Shaker Heights to celebrate a special milestone–900 solar panels live and operational on their service center!

A big thank you to our partners at Compass Energy Platform and Watthub for helping make this project happen. And a special thank you for all the support from Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne and Mayor David Weiss.

Exciting news out of Shaker Heights…

YellowLite just completed a 544 kW solar array for the City of Shaker Heights service center!

Here’s what makes this solar project special:

🏬 This site was unique in that the solar system spans across multiple buildings.

🚜 Safety was top priority for this job as we coordinated with the Department of Public Works to make sure the solar installation did not disrupt work at the service center.

☀️ All useable roofspace was filled with panels to maximize solar production.

This solar energy system’s year 1 performance is estimated to offset 664,000 kilowatt hours–the equivalent of 60+ houses worth of electric annual usage.

Shaker Heights is not only going green, but also will be saving green over the next 30 years!
