The Aetna Fabrication team just finished making the shell for a tank with a 90 degree butt welder. This was the first time we've done this and it worked wonderfully. We are able to create a better weld on all four corners of the tank by using the 90 degree butt welder.

The Aetna Fabrication Team completed this project for a long-time client, that deals in air pollution & odor control for municipal & industrial waste water treatment plants.
The Reaction mixing tank, for mixing caustic additives, feeds the Distribution Tank, that feeds the exhaust scrubber towers with neutralizing chemicals, into the Water Control Panels. The Water Control Panels, regulate the proper flow rate of pre-mixed chemicals into the scrubber towers.

The Aetna Fabrication Team made this lab test apparatus for an OEM customer to improve upon a prototype model they were struggling with. FSG spent the time required with the client to fine tune the design and materials of construction. All those TEAMS calls, site visits, and design reviews came to fruition resulting in the safe, user friendly, high performance piece of equipment that you see here.

Aetna Plastics Fabrication is always researching ways to expand our value and services to our respected clientele. We are excited to announce that we have added another tool to our fabrication department that will enable our team to offer extended services beyond our previous capabilities.

Introducing our new Wegener SM348 90-degree butt-welder with sheet-rolling device. This new machine gives us the ability to butt-weld sheets up to 1 ½” thick at 90-degrees, which will be instrumental for tank projects. Additionally, the sheet-rolling device will allow our team to wrap long pieces of plastic around the welder for cylindrical tank fabrication, eliminating the manual process of folding the material by hand. This not only keeps our fabricators safe, but it also cuts downtime spent hand-rolling the material and the slight imperfections that can occur during the manual process.

You can't have all work and no play!

Check out this video from Poly Processing Company, LLC. to see a drop test! The results of the study demonstrates the higher resistance of crosslinked polyethylene to rupture and catastrophic failure in high impact and over-pressurization conditions. It also demonstrates the ability of crosslinked polyethylene to resist crack propagation or un-zipping.

We've recently updated our drop test. Watch as we drop our polyethylene tank from 45 ft in the air!
