Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all phases of maintenance including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repair of production machines as well as building maintenance. To be successful, a candidate must be able to:
· Investigate, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair production machinery or other items to include auxiliary equipment. The ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics is a must. Understanding PLC’s and knowledge of 480V, 240V, and 110V a must.
· Perform preventive maintenance inspections and complete repairs that arise to ensure the efficient and effective operations of equipment
· Assist in the set up productions cells for maximize efficiency keeping safety in mind at all times
· Responsible for maintaining safety for self and others including; recognize hazards, human or product, and take required action to eliminate them, know and practice safe lifting, bending and pulling/pushing procedures, know the location of safety data sheets (SDS) and other appropriate safety devices, know the procedures for fire evacuation, severe weather and power failure, use equipment properly and know the safety features, be familiar with the lockout/tagout procedures, and know location / items available of the first aid stations. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
· Must be able to effectively communicate the status, progress and schedules of jobs to customers both internal and external as needed to meet demands in a timely fashion
· Participate when needed in design and development of specialized equipment in the manufacturing area.
· Be part of teams that implement ideas to improve uptime of plant equipment through equipment modifications, layout adjustments, and general machine maintenance.
· Stay current on technology, capabilities and requirements of equipment including secondary equipment.
· Know and understand yours and/or others impact on the environment and take all necessary actions to reduce or eliminate negative impacts
· Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Industrial Electronics degree required.
· At least 3 years’ experience in maintaining production machinery.
· Prior maintenance experience in a plastic molding company a plus.
· Previous robotics experience a plus.
· Strong working knowledge of mechanic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric controls and skills.
· Ability to read and understand blue prints, schematics, manuals, gauges, and other specifications.
· Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
· Must be highly motivated and self-starter
· Must be able to multi-task and have strong communication skills
· Must have good oral and written communication skills as well as very good interpersonal skills.
· Ability to follow through on projects to completion.
· Must be safety conscious and a team player to attain company objectives.
· Quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability and thoroughness of work performed

Working Conditions:
· Work is performed primarily indoors, however, outside maintenance is required at times.
· Electrical shock or odors may be present occasionally.
· Light to moderate physical activity.
· Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
· Required to stand long periods of time, walk, use hands, climb ladders, etc.
· Elevated levels of noise possible; hearing protection required.
