A truckload of control panels headed to one of the largest cattle finishing facilities in the Western United States.

Our team recently completed six UL 508A-certified PLC and remote I/O panels for a major greenfield feedlot project. Installed by Lighthouse Electrical , these systems will support reliable automation and field operations at a facility designed to feed and finish up to 120,000 head of cattle at a time.

Each panel was engineered and built with CompactLogix Ethernet I/O, industrial networking, Ethernet switches, 24 VDC power distribution, and integrated system protection components. Select panels also include UPS backup and surge protection to help maximize system uptime and reliability in demanding field environments.

From engineering and fabrication to testing, every panel was built with quality, reliability, and long-term performance in mind, arriving on site ready for installation and commissioning.

When a customer needed a motor control system delivered on a tight timeline to match a previously completed installation, our team expedited design, engineering, assembly, and testing to successfully deliver a complete solution for a Tank Farm application within a chemical processing facility.

The project included one Motor Control Panel (MCP) designed to control and protect seven independent 15 HP, 480V, 3-phase motors, featuring:

✔️ Properly sized motor starters

✔️ Branch circuit protection

✔️ Control power distribution

✔️ Terminal blocks

✔️ Complete internal wiring and labeling

✔️ Compliance with applicable industrial electrical standards and customer specifications

The project also included a control station pushbutton panel equipped with operator controls and status indication for all seven motors, featuring:

✔️ 7 START pushbuttons

✔️ 7 STOP pushbuttons

✔️ 7 green RUN pilot lights

The completed system provides local motor start/stop functionality and clear visual run-status indication for each motor, supporting safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations.

Prior to shipment, the system underwent Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), point-to-point wiring verification, and functional testing to ensure quality, performance, and reliability in the field.

The system was delivered on schedule and ready for installation and commissioning.
