This Halloween, we at Satellite Air want your evening to be all treats and no tricks. As you get into the spooky spirit, here are a few quick tips to keep your home comfortable and safe:
Keep Vents Clear: Make sure large decorations or fake spiderwebs don't block indoor air vents. Blocked vents force your system to work harder and can cause efficiency issues.
Clear the Outdoor Unit: Keep a safe distance between outdoor decorations (pumpkins, inflatables, etc.) and your exterior AC unit. It needs proper airflow to function correctly.
Opt for Safer Lighting: Candles add a spooky glow, but use battery-operated alternatives or glow sticks near decorations or your HVAC system to prevent fire hazards.
Mind the Door: Enjoy the fall weather and hand out candy from your porch to avoid constantly opening and closing the front door, which makes your system work harder to maintain a consistent indoor temperature.
