Congratulations, Amy Strainer!
We are so proud to share that our Chief Financial Officer, Amy Strainer, has been named the Stambaugh Ness Zweig Group Outstanding Financial Leader for mid-sized firms!
In a world of engineers, land surveyors, and planners, it's easy to focus on the sites we design, the land we survey, and the projects we deliver. What doesn't always get the spotlight is what keeps the whole thing running: the financial foundation that keeps everything moving forward. At Stahly Engineering, that's Amy.
For 15 years, Amy has been our CFO, a member of our Board of Directors, and a trusted leader through some of the most significant milestones in our firm's history. As a formerly family-owned firm, we underwent a transition to employee ownership through an ESOP, and Amy played a key role in leading that transformation. Since then, she has remained committed to strengthening our ESOP by continually expanding her knowledge, connecting with other employee-owned companies, and recruiting an external board member with deep ESOP experience in our industry.
Because of Amy, our employee-owners aren't just part of the company. They help shape its future and share in its success.
Her impact reaches well beyond the numbers. She has helped us open new offices, grow through a merger, launch our sister bridge company, modernize our technology, build a competitive benefit & compensation package, and champion initiatives that help us attract, retain, and support the people who make this firm what it is today. Amy is the first to say she's "not just finance," and she's right. She sees the big picture, asks the hard questions, and always looks for what's best for our people, our clients, and our future.
