Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Responsibilities:
• Prepare new equipment for sales.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair.
• Repair trucks, dozers, excavators, wheel loaders, skid loaders, scrapers, off-road trucks, semis, aggregate equipment, trailers, etc.
• Maintain rental and customer-owned equipment.
• Complete required paperwork documenting repairs, parts, and repair times.
•
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
• Repair experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge, and skills.
• Technical skills should include a practical knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, diesel technology, drivetrain systems, suspension systems, and braking systems.
• Fabrication experience and welding experience are desirable.
• Good problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, and attention to detail are essential.
• Capacity to follow instructions and collaborate with others towards a common goal.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors when required for the job.
