Abe has been part of the Schmitz Foam USA team for nine years, joining us in 2017 when we first broke ground on our U.S. headquarters in Coldwater, Michigan.

He began his journey in our shredding department before moving into production, where he has spent the past eight years developing his skills, supporting his teammates, and helping drive our manufacturing excellence.

Abe's commitment, strong work ethic, and leadership have earned him this well-deserved promotion, and we're excited to see him lead our second-shift team.

When asked what he enjoys most about working at Schmitz, Abe shared:

Some projects are about more than a new field—they’re about investing in the next generation.

This summer, Schmitz Foam USA was proud to see our ProPlay-EcoSport shock pad installed beneath the new synthetic turf field at Mentor College / TEAM School in Mississauga, Ontario.

For more than four decades, Mentor College has built a legacy of helping students learn, grow and achieve. Now, that commitment continues outdoors with a field designed to serve today’s students—and generations to come.

Our ProPlay-EcoSport may not be seen to the spectator or athlete once the turf goes down, but its role doesn’t change. Beneath the surface, it provides a consistent foundation engineered for athlete safety, performance, drainage and long-term durability.

We’re proud to be part of this project with CARPELL SURFACES that brings together a school’s rich heritage with an investment in its future.
