Two years ago today, things were going well at Robinson Industries. We were coming out of the Covid era, there were some supply chain issues but overall business was on the upswing and life was good.
Then the unimaginable happened.
As most of you know, a fire devastated our factory and offices in the early morning hours of March 31, 2022.
Things seemed very bleak at the time but our leadership was strong and immediately plans were being made for how to continue to get parts to our suppliers, how to help employees who were suddenly out of work and how to start the incredibly difficult work of rebuilding.
We have said this so many times that it probably sounds redundant but it truly was awe inspiring to see how our employees, our managers, our suppliers and competitors and our community came together to make this happen.
Sometimes your greatest blessings in life come out of adversity.
We have learned so much about what it means to support each other, what community means and how deep down good people really are. We are stronger as a company and as people because of this experience.
It has been two long but exciting years and we are at the point where the new building is done, machines are in place and some will start running this week. We are almost there and we're looking forward to having a ribbon cutting celebration in the Spring. We hope to see many of you at this event.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone involved for standing with us and giving this team effort more than anyone could expect. Our managers and staff, Steelworkers Local 15100, and everyone involved should take pride in what has been accomplished! If we had a crystal ball we would have been astonished at how well the rebuild has gone thanks to all of you.
If you have any pictures of the rebuild in progress or the fire or any other pictures you think would be interesting to others please post those in the comments.
