Changing your air filter is one of the easiest ways to improve your HVAC system’s performance and indoor air quality and it only takes a few minutes.

A dirty filter can restrict airflow, increase energy bills, and make your system work harder than it should. Regular filter changes help your AC and heating system run more efficiently and can even extend the life of your equipment.

Quick reminder:
- Turn off your system
- Locate and remove the old filter
- Check the size and airflow direction
- Install the new filter correctly
- Turn your system back on

A good rule of thumb:
• 1-inch filters → replace every 30 days
• 4-inch filters → replace every 5–6 months
• Homes with pets or allergies → check monthly

Think of a dirty air filter like trying to drink a smoothie through a coffee straw. Your system has to work a lot harder to breathe.
