This was one of my favorite projects this year. Ripped out everything. Added red oak steps bleached and stained grey. All oak risers, trim, handrails were red oak also bleached and stained grey. Posts were solid 6.5x6.5 red oak. Balusters were solid iron. When a homeowner has a vision and explains that vision Against the Grain makes it happen.

Let’s start off by saying this is a long post. It started a year ago, I met with this customer about getting her deck redone. She was set on Trex. After some discussion, I was able to get her to look into TimberTech decking and the advantages of all PVC decking over wood composite. Fast forward a year, after some thought and decisions, we came up with the colors they wanted. Needless to say I was extremely excited to get this project going.

1. Vintage collection Dark Hickory double boarder☑️
2. Landmark collection French White Oak deck boards☑️
3. Key-Link Chesapeake railing with matching Dark hickory drink rail☑️
4. Nebula round lights on side of posts☑️
5. Waterproofing for a dry space underneath deck☑️
6. Soffit to brighten and enclose dry space☑️

I am proud to say this project was spot on from the design to completion. Thank you to the Wasser’s for allowing Against the Grain Construction to complete your deck project.
