The Potomac gave us a run for our money on this one. Wind, buried rock, old concrete—pretty much everything you don’t want when you’re setting poles. We still drove them 8+ feet and kept the lines straight. We even had a mid‑project change order to shift the pier direction. Always feels good seeing a dock come together like this.

20,000 lb. Universal Boat Lifts, LLC lift install we wrapped up recently. We drove 35' poles about 24' into the bottom, then set the 35' lift poles alongside to proper height and bolted them together. With the poles driven down through the soft mud to better soil conditions, this customer won’t have to worry about the lift settling under weight. Beams set, everything leveled out, and this setup is ready for a big boat.

I once stood where my son stands now. I watched my stepfather build his pile driver — now my son watches us guide mine into place, proud as ever. He’s been my biggest fan since day one. Ironclad may be new, but the know‑how isn’t. A few braces and cables, and she’s ready to roll.

Another job where we had to fix what wasn’t done right the first time. We leveled the lift, adjusted the bunks properly, and dealt with outside poles that had sunk nearly a foot. The cables were also left way too long, which caused one to get pinched and start to fray. Not sure if it’s lack of knowledge or lack of care, but it shows. Customer didn’t want to drive new poles, so fingers crossed it doesn’t sink any further.
