Phase 2 of the Citizens Service Center Parking Garage improvements is underway.
Our crews continue to make accessibility upgrades throughout the site, including ADA ramp improvements, curb replacements, and sidewalk rehabilitation. These improvements help create safer, more accessible routes for everyone using the facility while extending the life of the existing infrastructure.

A quick look at the latest work at the Independence Center.

The new stair system is going in, and progress continues on the elevator addition as crews move this accessibility upgrade closer to completion. It’s always interesting to see how many different pieces have to come together before a project reaches the finish line.

Just a quick look at the progress at District 49.

The lights are going in under the covered parking, and the equipment barn is looking pretty close to ready. It’s always satisfying when a project reaches the stage where all the little details start coming together.

Not your everyday concrete pour.

Work continues at the Central Bluffs Substation as our crews pour another section of the concrete retaining walls. These structures may look simple once they’re complete, but there’s a tremendous amount of planning, layout, forming, reinforcing steel, and coordination that goes into every pour.

It’s always interesting to see the process behind these out-of-the-ordinary concrete structures and watch the project take shape one section at a time.

It’s not every day you get to see concrete being poured several feet in the air.

Our team recently completed the concrete deck pour for the new elevator addition at The Independence Center. This elevated structural deck will become a key part of the building’s expansion, helping improve accessibility while supporting the new elevator system.

Projects like this require careful planning, coordination, and ex*****on to ensure every detail is done right—from reinforcing steel placement to the final concrete finish.

Accessibility improvements may seem small, but they make a big difference for the people who use a facility every day.

At the Citizens Service Center Parking Garage , our team completed ADA concrete repairs, including the removal and replacement of a damaged accessible ramp and curb. These improvements help maintain safe access while ensuring the facility continues to meet accessibility standards.
