The Dunes Casino opened in 1955 and proclaimed itself as "Daringly Different" and "the last word in Luxury". This luxurious, desktop-sized sign is 3D-printed with white, burgundy, silver and gold silk filament to create a striking complement to your Las Vegas collection. The original sign was built in 1964, was 180 feet tall, weighed approximately 1.5 million pounds and used miles of neon tubing. The actual cost of the Dunes sign was reportedly $1,800,000 (over $16 million in today's dollars) paid in lease payments to Federal Sign over 30 years. The sign itself, with the huge diamond atop, also made a big screen appearance in the 1971 James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever".
