The Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium recently installed a Genesys 6x4 to replace another manufacturer’s pump that was not meeting the required operating conditions for the application.
The new installation was selected to better match the system requirements and deliver the hydraulic performance and reliability the facility needed for long-term operation.
Proper pump selection matters — especially in demanding aquatic and water circulation applications where performance outside the specified operating range can lead to ongoing maintenance and efficiency issues.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our colleague and friend, Brian Maldonado, on March 30.
Brian was a valued member of the MDM Pumps family for 28 years. Over nearly three decades, he gave so much of himself to this company—not just through his work, but through the relationships he built and the impact he had on everyone around him. His dedication, reliability, and presence helped shape MDM into what it is today.
Brian wasn’t just a coworker. He was a constant, a familiar face, and a meaningful part of our everyday lives. His absence will be felt in ways both big and small, and things simply won’t feel the same without him.
We understand that this news is difficult to process. We encourage everyone to take the time they need and to support one another during this time. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Brian’s family and loved ones as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. We will share information about services and ways to support the family as it becomes available.
Brian will be greatly missed, and he will not be forgotten.
