Over the last 30 years in business, Diana and I have experienced the highs and lows, strong economies and difficult seasons, pressure from competition, and indirect attacks from our brothers at the IBEW locals, yet continuing to preserve and strengthen our relationships with LiUNA and many valued partners throughout the industry.
Through it all, we are still standing — stronger, wiser, and more convicted in our purpose than ever before.
One thing I have always taken pride in through the Mendoza Way is striving to be more than just an owner. I have always tried to be a boss, leader, and friend to our extended work family and a true partner within the industry. Along the way, we have had people come and go, but we have also built many long-term relationships with employees who have been with us for 10+ years, together navigating the good and the tough seasons. Relationships having helped shape the company into what it is today and will continue to do so.
A friend and mentor once told me:
“Pressure exposes diamonds and leaky pipes.”
That statement stayed with me.
Pressure reveals character, commitment, and alignment. The people who tend to thrive in our company are those who embrace accountability, adapt to change, operate with optimism, and stay committed when things get difficult. The Mendoza Way is for those whom see the vision, becoming more than a job. It becomes purpose, growth, and legacy.
What makes me proud is that the Mendoza Way continues forward with clarity, passion, and conviction. Mission 2040 is bigger than any one individual — it is about building an ecosystem of opportunity, accountability, leadership, and legacy for the families and communities connected through business.
This July, we will proudly celebrate 30 years in business. We look forward to honoring a select group of individuals who stood with us during difficult seasons and helped shape who we are today.
We love what we do, and we believe there is no better place to build, grow, and pursue purpose than within the Mendoza Companies ecosystem.
