It is a hot day for this, but these buggies will make pouring footings a little more fun. Thank you to everyone else out there getting things done in this heat.

Piers are being spun for the foundation of what will be a volleyball/basketball/batting cage paradise in our customer’s own backyard. Stay tuned….

Tate’s no stranger to construction but this was his first summer working full time for MBM. Thanks for being a hard worker, Tater! Have a great junior year.

If you’re not moonwalking at the end of a productive day, then you don’t have the right job! Nice moves, Tyler! The door install doesn’t look bad either 😉!

It’s odd to think of Matt doing anything except construction but there was a time when he worked for NS railroad, was a plumbing apprentice, and served in the Army. After the military, he returned to the railroad but spent most of his free time remodeling. We remodeled our first home. Then bought the house next door and did the same. A few years later, we started our cabin remodel. We had plenty of help from our dads and Matt’s uncle Bruce, but the day to day was us and the kids just chipping away. It laid the groundwork for what MBM would become. Construction is black and white and the right way is usually the hardest, but also the most lasting. We put quality ahead of quantity and we don’t take shortcuts. Thats what sets us apart, with Matt being the strong foundation that holds it all up. If you ask him though, he would credit his crew and customers who appreciate the art of quality work. One thing he can’t do, is wear these new MBM hats, but he’s sure trying 🫣😬!

Tate works for MBM part time. He gets glamorous jobs like clean up, rental property maintenance, tractor work, or any odd job that comes up. He’s earning his keep as the new guy but he knows more about construction than most adults. He’s been part of our remodel projects since he was a baby, so it’s not new territory for him. When he’s not working, he’s a sophomore at Southern Boone. He likes to hunt, fish, golf and play baseball.

We met Tyler when he coached our son’s baseball team. If you want to see a person’s character, watch them coach a sport! Tyler ended up interning with us while working toward a construction management degree at State Tech. He is a Blair Oaks and State tech graduate, and has been doing construction work since he was 17 years old. He completed a 2 month internship doing electrical maintenance n Alaska. We are lucky he decided to stick with us after school. When he’s not working for MBM or remodeling his own home, he likes to golf and hunt.

No one in the office today except the cleaning crew (AKA Ren). We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday. We sure have alot to be thankful for at MBM!
