Good Morning folks ❄️ If you have not already done so, please switch to Emergency Heat Mode at your thermostats. 🔥 This will activate the backup heat source (such as electric coils or gas furnace). If you have heard a loud noise coming from your unit, it’s possibly just the defrost mode activating. You’ve also possibly got a sheet of ice on your unit- DO NOT break it. 🧊🚫 931-623-4059. We are unsure when we will be able to safely leave our home, but please call us if you need us. We can walk/talk you through SOME things. We want to know about the issues you are having ASAP so we can best prep for what’s to come when this mess clears out. Thank you! Stay safe.
Editing to add: Hopefully this will help explain - The unit *will* call for the emergency heat on its own. But the ice that will likely build up today could turn into the problem. Going ahead and doing this is a preventative measure. It’s to hopefully keep anything in its “normal” mode from freezing and messing up. The heat pump can only pull in enough warm enough air for so long. There will likely be sheets of ice across the tops and sides of units by end of day, if weather and temps do what they’re predicting them to do. Hope that makes sense!
