Position Summary:
The Steel Fabrication Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, ex*****on, and delivery of steel fabrication projects from contract award through completion. This includes managing budgets, timelines, production schedules, and coordination between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of steel fabrication projects, including estimating support, scheduling, procurement, and fabrication oversight.
• Coordinate with engineering, drafting, and production teams to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and field personnel.
• Monitor project costs, track change orders, and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
• Review shop drawings and ensure they align with project requirements and standards.
• Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
• Resolve any fabrication or construction issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide progress reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure all project documentation is complete, organized, and maintained.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural or miscellaneous steel fabrication project management.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, materials, shop drawings, and construction practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software and CAD a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of AISC standards, welding codes, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

•Manage the RFI process, reviewing potential items identified by the project team and initiating RFI’s into the log system, assuring that all information is received with the appropriate documentation, and performing a regular review of outstanding RFI’s to confirm they are concluded.
•Establish with the er****on subcontractor site specific er****on and safety plans.
•Coordinate schedule with other disciplines on the project.
•Prepare close out reports.
Authorities related to the job function:
•Maintain contact with the customer in all aspects pertaining to the project.
•Contact vendors and subcontractors in any aspect pertaining to the management of the project.
•Resolve customer issues pertaining to the project.
•Change project scope per executed purchase order.

Job Description
Qualified Candidates for this position will be able to perform the following duties:
•Interpret drawings in order to fabricate parts per blueprint, (be able to read and build from drawings) - Must be able to interpret and understand basic weld symbols.
•Lay out positions, align, and fit components together.
•Bolts, clamps and tack-welds parts to a secure position for welding.
•Measure, tack and weld to make assemblies.
•Mig/Tig and stick weld on a variety of material such as stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum.
•Must be able to weld tube, pipe and plate as well as finished metal products.
•Plasma/torch cutting, grinding and polishing as needed.
•Run secondary fabrication equipment such as saw, drill, ironworker, etc. (skilled in the use of all typical metal shop tools and machinery)
•Knowledge of shears and press brakes a plus.

Requirements:
•Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
•Be able to strictly follow work instructions, have good attention to detail and be quality minded.
•Must work well in a team environment and also be self-sufficient when working alone.

The candidate must be in good physical shape to perform a wide variety of tasks that require stamina, focus and attention to detail. Job Duties and Responsibilities
•Help with painting and sandblasting work as needed.
•Use power and hand tools.
•Help load and unload trucks and deliver materials.
