Maury County Public Schools Superintendent, Lisa Ventura, announced the promotion of Laura Sandrell to Principal of Mt. Pleasant Elementary. Sandrell previously served as the Assistant Principal of Mt. Pleasant Elementary School since 2016. She assumes the role previously filled by Julie Tidwell, who retired earlier this year.

I would like to thank all of my customers, family, friends and employees on this Thanksgiving day. I am very appreciative of the support and business that I received this year. I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving day.

On Saturday, October 26th my father Marvin Sandrell passed away. He was the owner of Sandrell heating and air for about 50 years. I owe him everything I know about Heating and Air. He spent his life being tough on me and taught me how to work hard and be a good father. Many of the skills he taught me are used everyday in business and appreciation for others.
I loved my dad very much and I will miss him dearly. His funeral will be Friday at 2pm at Heritage funeral home in Columbia, TN. Visitation is Thursday, October 31st from 4-8. We will be closed Friday, November 1st for the funeral. Thank you.
