Tournament Registration is Now Open!

Every family navigating a rare disease deserves to feel seen, supported, and understood. Fore One Purpose is more than a tournament. We are excited to share that the 2026 registration is now open on our website fore-one-purpose.com. Whether you are joining us as a golfer, a sponsor, donor, or supporter, your presence matters. DM us to get connected and find out how you can be part of this year’s journey.

As Rare Disease Day approaches, we reflect on the steady progress required to move science forward.

Talia is living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 4J (CMT4J), an ultra-rare neurodegenerative disease that causes progressive muscle weakness and nerve loss.

Through CureCMT4J/Talia Duff Foundation and Elpida Therapeutics, a gene therapy program has received Orphan Drug and Rare Pediatric Disease Designations, along with IND clearance. The program continues to advance toward anticipated patient dosing in early to mid-2026 with grant funding from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM).

Talia’s journey is a reminder that advancement in ultra-rare disease often takes extraordinary persistence, collaboration, and belief in what is possible.

Equity for Rare Diseases Means: More Opportunity Than You Can Imagine.

Ultra-rare diseases frequently depend on family-led foundations to accelerate research and build momentum. Opportunity grows when science, advocacy, and community move forward together.

In 2025, CureCMT4J was the beneficiary of our Fore One Purpose golf tournament, a meaningful way to support Talia and the work her foundation is leading.

As Rare Disease Day approaches, we continue by honoring Evelyn, the “elyn” in Andelyn.

Evelyn was born with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare genetic disease that affects the motor neurons responsible for movement and breathing. At just eight weeks old, she received an investigational gene therapy as part of one of the earliest clinical trials for SMA. That research ultimately led to the first FDA-approved systemic gene therapy for a neuromuscular disease.

Her story is a reminder of what becomes possible when families, researchers, clinicians, and partners move forward together with urgency and intention.

Equity For Rare Diseases Means: More Breakthroughs Than You Can Imagine.

Today, more than 7,000 rare diseases are known, yet fewer than 10 percent have an approved treatment. Every breakthrough carries the courage of the families who stepped forward first and the determination to keep advancing.

On February 28, the global community recognizes Rare Disease Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness for the more than 300 million people worldwide living with a rare condition.

At Andelyn, this day is deeply personal.

We begin by honoring Andrew, whose name forms part of our own. The “And” in Andelyn.

Andrew was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) at age four. His journey became closely connected to early gene therapy research that helped pave the way for what is now an approved treatment option for certain individuals living with Duchenne.

Andrew’s story reminds us:

Equity for Rare Diseases Means More Community Than You Can Imagine.

Rare diseases may be individually uncommon, but collectively they affect 1 in 10 Americans, more than 30 million people. Progress is built through patients, families, researchers, clinicians, and advocates moving forward together.

Community is not secondary in rare diseases. It is foundational.
