Founder’s Day: Today we honor John H. McConnell, who founded our company 71 years ago on June 3, 1955. At the center of his legacy is how he treated people, which he formalized into Our Philosophy that has guided our business ever since.

Mr. McConnell lived Our Philosophy through his everyday interactions with employees and carried the hand-written words in his pocket. Today as a $1.3 billion company, each of our 4,000 employees carries a Philosophy card as part of their badge – making our Golden Rule a part of everyday life and how we all treat our colleagues, customers, suppliers and communities.

To celebrate our most recent Top Workplaces recognition, our corporate employees gathered for the ultimate cookout today. From firing up our own propane tanks and HALO Cooks grills, to having members of our senior leadership team serve the food, the gathering was a simple and sincere way to thank employees.

Worthington Enterprises employees in central Ohio voted the company as one of the Top Workplaces in the region for the last 14 years (12 as Worthington Industries), which is every year that Columbus CEO has conducted the survey. The topics covered – culture, communication, leadership, values and benefits – align closely with our people-first, Golden Rule-based Philosophy.

We kicked off our 2026 summer internship experience this week by welcoming 21 students from 10 universities. Our interns will gain experience within their departments while also collaborating on projects, participating in workshops and gaining exposure to different parts of our business and our empowered culture. This includes learning from employee mentors who began their careers in our program. Each year, we look forward to the impact and energy our interns bring to Worthington Enterprises, as well as supporting their personal growth during their time with us.

Jersey Reveal: When we make our way to the Pelotonia start line in 11 weeks, our jerseys will have as much forward momentum as the cancer-ending cause we’re supporting. This year’s design features our Worthington Enterprises logo prominently across the chest. Each rider has the Pelotonia logo on their right arm and, in celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday, an American flag on their left. Across both sides, forward-looking arrows in our business segment colors (blue for Building Products and yellow for Consumer Products) lift and unify the design, along with logos for The Worthington Companies Foundation and our family of market-leading brands.

We’re ready to roll.

We are proud to announce our Newsweek recognition as one of America's Most Patriotic Companies. Worthington Enterprises is one of 20 companies headquartered in Ohio and 450 nationwide to earn this distinction.

“During a year when we are celebrating America’s 250th birthday, this recognition is especially meaningful for a business founded more than 70 years ago by World War II veteran John H. McConnell,” said Joe Hayek, president and CEO. “This company was built on a Golden Rule-based Philosophy that continues to guide how we treat one another and serve our customers. We’re a proud example of the opportunities this country provides—the ability to, over more than 70 years, build, grow and create through a free enterprise system. Today, our teams carry that legacy forward, creating opportunities for thousands of people and delivering products that improve everyday life in the United States and around the world.”
